Who knows?

I think the conversation is fascinating.

What if the previous conflict with ‘away from me satan,’ and all of this, suddenly came clear, and yeah, he walked away weeping with sorrow for someone he loved…

But also for himself. For having not only missed it, but from realizing he had in many ways, with good intentions, worked against the interest of his lord… while thinking he was working for him.

Because he hadn’t left enough room for ‘lord’ on one side and too much ‘power’ on the other.

Isn’t that all of us?

This Peter and Jesus make a lot of sense to me.

Hadn’t consider that his weeping was the result of him now KNOWING that his Rabbi, his Friend, his Savior was actually going to go and do the exact thing He had foretold for years. And it was happening in real time. Thank you for sharing that!
